What dancefloor were you on when you first heard Abe Duque and Blake Baxter's "What happened?"
At that time, Abe Duque had spent a few years in the wilderness. He'd fallen from a regular on the European techno touring circuit to eking out a living as a carpenter, with barely enough money to release his own music - the legendary early Abe Duque Records 12"s, one-sided, with messages from Abe hand-scratched into the vinyl lacquer on each release.

With Abe Duque's "Don't Be So Mean" just out, it's time for the romantic side of his songwriting to come out. With vocals by Virginia, a killer DJ Hell remix and a wonderfully sultry remake by Tigerskin, "Following My Heart" is an old-school 4AM moment from four big talents.

Aan de vooravond van zijn fysieke release in de UK willen we vast sgnaleren dat Abe Duque er eentje is om zeer sterk in de gaten te houden. Het album is digitaal uit, DE CD komt in DE UK op 8 juni uit, en ergens later in juni in o.a. Nederland (via N.E.W.S.). Abe is zaterdag 30 mei live te zien en te horen in Amsterdam.
