Ad Bouman werd jl. woensdag 30 mei 65 jaar. Al op jonge leeftijd startte hij bij zijn eerste werkgever Radio Veronica zijn eigenzinnige ABTT. De lijst begon in 1967 op het zendschip Veronica met Joost den Draaijer als presentator.
Ad is/was technicus van beroep, maar werd door een duidelijke muzikale voorkeur en aanwezigheid in vele programma’s een cultfiguur en kreeg daardoor net zo’n sterrenstatus als vele populaire Veronica DJ’s uit die tijd. In de jaren 70 was het programma met Lex Harding als presentator in de Lexjo op maandagavond tussen 19 en 20u. ook verantwoordelijk voor veel hits.
Bouman was hoogstpersoonlijk verantwoordelijk voor Child in time van Deep Purple, Halo of flies van Alice Cooper en Dream on van Aerosmith en dankzij een inkoppertje steunde hij ook de verdere lancering van o.a. Tuberlar Bells van Mike Oldfield.
De Ad Bouman Top 10 (ABTT) was een absolute smaakmaker.
Zenderbaas van KX Radio - Rob Stenders wilde absoluut die 65-jarige leetijd van Ad niet ongemerkt voorbij laten gaan en belde met ABTT-archivaris en side-kick avant la lettre: Sieb Kroeske om te overleggen of er een ABTT allertijden samengesteld kon worden en zo geschiedde. Toen Ad werd geinformeerd werd al snel duidelijk dat hij én bedenktijd én uitstel van de uitzending (eerst gepland op 27 mei) én wijziging van de lijst waar dat nodig werd geacht. Rob als ruime denker ging snel overstag, want zag anders een leuk idee weggaan.
Sieb ging in overleg met Ad en het resultaat is de ABTT 365. Tijdens de uitzending zullen ook de nodige onthullingen worden gedaan over o.a. bepaalde rubrieken uit het ABTT-leven.
De marathon-uitzending van 24 uur start zaterdagnacht 24.00u van 2 op 3 juni. De gehele programmering staat hieronder.
