For the fifth year in a row, Dutch record company Armada Music has won the International Dance Music Award for ‘Best Global Record Label’. Awarded last night at the official award show in Miami, it’s the first time ever that a Dutch label won the prestigious award so many times. The award is the perfect cherry on top of the cake for Armada Music’s 10 year anniversary this year. Armin van Buuren, one of the co-founders of the label and titleholder of the world’s number one DJ, took home 5 awards, for ‘Best Global DJ’, ‘Best Producer’, ‘Best Radio Mix Show DJ’, ‘Best Podcast’ and ‘Best Trance Track’ for ‘J’ai Envie De Toi’.

Van Buuren, who’s in the middle of the biggest world tour he’s ever done, ‘A State of Trance 600 – The Expedition’, won the ‘Best Trance Track’ IDMA for his knock-out tune ‘J’ai Envie De Toi’, a big summer-hit in 2012. The IDMA for ‘Best Radio Mix Show DJ’ means a great deal to the world’s number one DJ, who’s currently celebrating the 600th episode of his A State of Trance radio show with ’The Expedition’ world tour. Other important IDMA’s won include ‘Best Producer’, ‘Best Global DJ’ and ‘Best Podcast’ for the official A State of Trance Podcast. The Dutch DJ, 5 times titleholder of the #1 in DJ Mag’s Top 100, will be playing a sold-out Madison Square Garden in New York next week, part of his world tour.
