BMIM rolls out the big guns

The 2014 edition of Buma Music In Motion promises to be the event's best ever with an A-list speaker line-up.

One of Holland's top composers, Cablejuice, an acknowledged master of sonic branding who has worked with Martini, Vodafone, Heineken, Nike, Sony and Albert Heijn will be discussing how to formulate brand call signs with Lance Massey who has worked with McDonalds, Pepsi and Toyota, and is the composer of the T-Mobile ring tone.

In 'How the Sync Landscape is Changing', Kyle Hopkins, head of music supervision at Microsoft, will be examining where the genuine new opportunities for up and coming composers lie. In 'Growing Business in Royalty Free Music' Oscar Höglund of Epidemic Sound will be looking at the implications of the fact that ever more artists find themselves working directly with sound libraries who demand a constant stream of artist-driven music.

Other speakers include leading Dutch composer Stephen Emmer alongside Louis Gautier, Vincent de Koning and Margaret McGinnis on Exploring New Markets.

Earlier confirmed speakers include film and TV composer (Drive, Only God Forgives) and ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Cliff Martinez, film creator Ton Okkerse, composer Bob Zimmerman and sound designer Peter Oskam from the New Wilderness and finally OK Go's digital strategist Mike Rosenthal.

Check out the confirmed speakers so far.
