Lights And Shadows is het liedje waarmee OG3NE voor Nederland meedoet aan het Eurovisie Songfestival. Via verschillende radiostations, een livestream op Facebook en YouTube en in het bijzijn van pers is Lights And Shadows in première gegaan. Het prachtige harmonieuze en zeer persoonlijke nummer is een muzikale ode aan hun moeder en een hart onder de riem voor alle mensen waarbij de gezinssituatie door ziekte is ontwricht.
Al een aantal jaren is de moeder van Lisa, Amy en Shelley ernstig ziek. De impact die dit heeft op het hechte en muzikale gezin is groot. Samen steunen ze elkaar door dik en dun, zorgen ze voor elkaar maar is er ook verdriet. De doorbraak en het succes van OG3NE zorgen voor zeer waardevolle geluksmomenten. "Wij gaan er alles aan doen om Nederland trots te maken en de titel naar ons land te halen. Tevens willen we een lach van trots op het gezicht van onze moeder toveren. Een dankbetuiging voor alles wat zij voor ons heeft gedaan en nog steeds betekent", aldus Lisa, Amy en Shelley.
Rick Vol, vader van de drie zussen, componist en tekstschrijver, heeft samen met de vriend van Shelley, gitarist Rory de Kievit, speciaal voor het Eurovisie Songfestival het prachtige harmonieuze Lights And Shadows geschreven.
Rick; "In Lights And Shadows heb ik samen met Rory geprobeerd het onzekere en onstabiele leven dat patiënt en familie leiden weer te geven en het te bestrijden met positiviteit en hoop. Het lied moet vooral kracht geven".
OG3NE staat op donderdag 11 mei in de tweede halve finale van het Eurovisie Songfestival in Kiev.
