Groningse folkband Town of Saints brengt op 5 oktober nieuw album ‘Celebrate’ uit. Na eerste single ‘Up In Smoke’ volgt nu de tweede single ‘Celebrate’, die dezelfde titel draagt als het te verschijnen album en nu overal beschikbaar is. Na release volgt er een albumrelease tour, waarvoor tickets nu te koop zijn.
Na het uitkomen van ‘No Place Like This’, het vorige album van Town of Saints, was er een jaar vol tours en festivals. Hierna volgde een lange periode van bezinning waarin er bijna werd besloten om te stoppen. Dit plan veranderde toen Harmen en Heta opeens weer een aantal shows speelden als duo. Helemaal terug naar het begin, met zo weinig mogelijk middelen zoveel mogelijk bereiken. Daarna was er weer inspiratie voor nieuwe muziek, zo komt op 5 oktober het nieuwe album ‘Celebrate’ uit. Harmen, zanger van Town of Saints, over het nieuwe album: “Hoe zullen we ons gedragen als het ‘einde van de wereld’ opeens aanstaande is? ‘Celebrate’ gaat niet over het einde van de wereld zelf, maar over menselijk gedrag rond deze apocalyps. Tegelijkertijd staat het symbool voor het achterlaten van een chaotische, onvoorspelbare tijd.”
Town of Saints gaat dit najaar op albumrelease tour. Ze spelen op de volgende plekken:

Town of Saints announces new album and releases new single
‘Celebrate’ will be released on the 5th of October, followed by a tour
Dutch folkband Town of Saints will release new album ‘Celebrate’ on the 5th of October. After releasing ‘Up In Smoke’ they now released new single ‘Celebrate’, which carries the same title as the upcoming album, and is available everywhere. After the release there will be an album releasetour, for which tickets are on sale now.
After releasing ‘No Place Like This’, Town of Saints’ latest album, there was a year full of tours and festivals. Following this there was a period of reflection, where almost was decided to stop. This plan changed when Harmen and Heta all of a sudden played some duo shows again. All the way back to the beginning, achieving as much as possible with as few resources as possible. Subsequently there was inspiration for new music, with new album ‘Celebration’ as a result. Harmen, singer of Town of Saints, about the new album: “How will we behave when the 'end of the world' is suddenly imminent? "Celebrate" is not about the end of the world itself, but about human behaviour around the apocalypse. At the same time, it stands for leaving behind a chaotic, unpredictable time.”
