Arthur Baker, Dave Clarke, Tiefschwarz, Bugz In The Attic and Benny Benassi...are among the prolific electronic and dance music artists who gather during this years Amsterdam Dance Event, organised by Buma Cultuur. From Friday 19 till Saturday 21 October ADE will defend its title as the worlds biggest club festival providing over 400 DJs/acts in 40 clubs in Amsterdam.
Ranging in genre from deep techno and electro to urban crossover, and from underground avant-garde to massive club anthem house, the ADE features established artists but also has a keen eye for new talent and new music.
Acts confirmed include Arthur Baker (us), Dave Clarke (uk), Baby Dee (us), Tiefschwarz (d), Andy Barlow (Lamb, uk), Planet Pendulum (uk), Benny Benassi (i), Zoot Woman (uk), Gene Farris (us), Sneakthief (d/can), Bugz in the Attic (uk), Postman (nl), Fedde le Grand (nl), Mweslee (e), Gregor Salto (nl), Streamer (nl), DJ Spooky (us), Kelpe (uk), Nuno dos Santos (nl), Oxia (f), DJ Joy de la Rosa (e/nl), Gerry Arlings Bombay Connection Sitar Band feat. Kypski (nl), Martin Solveig (f), Rex the Dog (uk), Joost van Bellen (nl).

The ADE has continued to rise as a name on the international electronic music calendar. In 2005, well over 12.000 people travelled to Amsterdam to visit ADE shows. With the increased mobility of people in Europe, its fairly easy to take a plane from London or Berlin, says ADE general manager Richard Zijlma: With the publicity weve had in Germany and the UK in particular, were expecting a very significant rise in the amount of punters coming over - at least 25.000.
