Nine Inch Nails presenteert ‘Ghosts I – IV’, 36 gloednieuwe instrumentale tracks leverbaar sinds 14 april. Bijna 2 uur aan muziek, gecomponeerd en opgenomen tijdens een zeer intense periode van 10 weken afgelopen najaar. Met ‘Ghosts I – IV’ begeeft Nine Inch Nails zich op nieuw terrein en geeft het een extra dimensie aan de NIN sound.
Trent Reznor over ‘Ghosts I-IV’: "I've been considering and wanting to make this kind of record for years, but by its very nature it wouldn't have made sense until this point. This collection of music is the result of working from a very visual perspective - dressing imagined locations and scenarios with sound and texture; a soundtrack for daydreams. I'm very pleased with the result and the ability to present it directly to you without interference. I hope you enjoy the first four volumes of Ghosts."
This music arrived unexpectedly as the result of an experiment. The rules were as follows: 10 weeks, no clear agenda, no over thinking, everything driven by impulse. Whatever happens during that time gets released as... something.
Het team: Atticus Ross, Alan Moulder en Trent Reznor met wat hulp van Alessandro Cortini, Adrian Belew en Brian Viglione. Rob Sheridan werkte samen met Artist in Residence (A+R) om de bijbehorende visuals te realiseren.
