Het Nederlandse dancelabel Armada Music is bij de jaarlijkse International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) uitgeroepen tot beste dancelabel ter wereld. Armada Music-mede-eigenaar Armin van Buuren kon vier awards mee naar huis nemen: Best Progressive House/Trance Track en Best Music Video voor het nummer In And Out Of Love - waarop hij samenwerkt met Sharon den Adel - en Best European DJ en Best Radio Mix Show DJ.
Andere Nederlandse winnaars waren er ook. Tiësto werd uitgeroepen tot Beste DJ Wereldwijd, Beste Soloartiest en maker van de Beste Podcast, met zijn Radio 538: Tiesto's Club Life Podcast. De prijs voor Beste Eventpromotor ging naar ID&T.
De awards zijn officieel onderdeel van de Winter Music Conference. Er werden in 51 verschillende categorieën awards uitgereikt. Dit jaar vond de Winter Music Conference plaats van 24 tot 28 maart in Miami en werden 60.000 bezoekers uit 70 verschillende landen verwelkomd. Een grote selectie dj’s, artiesten en afgevaardigden uit de dancescene bezoeken jaarlijkse deze conferentie.
At the annual International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) show in Miami, Armada Music was chosen Best Global Dance Label. Armin van Buuren, current holder of the #1 position in the renowned DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll, received 4 awards. He was crowned ‘Best European DJ’, and his collaboration with Sharon den Adel, ‘In And Out Of Love’ was awarded ‘Best Video’ and ‘Best Progressive/Trance Record’. His weekly radioshow ‘A State of Trance’ received an award for ‘Best Radio Mix Show DJ’. Markus Schulz received the award for ‘Best American DJ’ for the first time in his career.

The awards, as official part of the Winter Music Conference, are the leading awards in the international dance scene. Awards were rewarded in 51 different categories, of which Armada Music won 6. Amongst them, was the award for ‘Best Global Record Label’. The 2009 edition of Miami’s Winter Music Conference was held from March 24th to 28th and had over 60.000 visitors from 70 different countries. A big selection of DJ’s, artists and business representatives from the dance scene were part of this important, annual conference.
