De bijna legendarische zanger Dr. John is in Nederland en België voor een tweetal optredens en ook ter promotie van zijn meest recente album "Tribal", wWeer eens geweldig funky album.
Het album doet terugblikken naar zijn vroege werk als Gris Gris, Babylon en In the Right Place...

Dr. John gets down and dirty on ‘Tribal’, his funkiest disc since iconic 1968 album ‘Gris Gris’. The Night Tripper’s follow-up to 2008 grammy-winner “The City That Care Forgot”, featuring a track with Grammy winner Derek Trucks, is a unique spicy mix of New Orleans funk and blues with a spiritual and Native flavor with songs written by Dr John and a few of his friends – Allen Toussaint and the late Bobby Charles and joined by his ultra funky Lower 911 band of musicians.
