Again we have asked an artist to craft something a little more lopsided than usual and Timo has not let us down. After we saw that you could be weird, wonky AND make people dance with Mike Monday...

Now here's the second set of remixes of King Roc's Beautiful But Weird. Again they feature the vocalist Barbara Alcindor, part of French-German #1 pop group Family Affair, whose voice led Phonica to call the last track by King Roc sideproject, Je Suis Differente by Two Armadillos, "easily one of the sexiest pieces of deep house we've heard in a long time".

Australian producer NICK VERWEY with great dance release

Nick Verwey is an Australian producer who, like Claude von Stroke, turned out his first few wonky tracks on surprisingly old-school technology - in CVS's case Reason, and in Nick's case Fruityloops. He started out making his own tracks to play out at a few Melbourne residencies, and his take on the brassy, funky and wonky sound - the oldschool vocal snippets, the horn section, the stumbling rhythm of Horn Rash? Well, we think he's a bit of a talent.

GROOVE ARMADA EN ROISÍN MURPHY SAMEN NAAR AMSTERDAM

Op vrijdag 19 oktober, tijdens de openingsavond van het Amsterdam Dance Event, staan Groove Armada en Roisín Murphy voor een dubbelconcert in de Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. De voormalige leadzangeres van Moloko zal als Very Special Guest de avond aftrappen, waarna het Londense dance duo Groove Armada het podium overneemt voor een live optreden.
