Waterflow is een Slowaaks-Nederlandse band. De groep, die een mix van eigen werk en covers speelt in de stijl americana / bluegrass / new acoustic music (denk hierbij aan de soundtracks van de films "Deliverance" en "Oh brother where art thou"), is binnenkort op tournee in Nederland om haar nieuwe CD "Perfect match for trouble" te promoten.
De tournee loopt van 27 april t/m 3 mei:

29 april: Café Camelot, Nijmegen (Gld), 22:00
30 april: Koninginnemarkt, 's Hertogenbosch (B), tijd is nog niet bekend

The international band Waterflow evolved out of the combination of two bands that spontaneously came together at the European World of Bluegrass (EWOB) in 2005. The group decided without hesitating to keep working together on a tour basis and merged their bandnames to form "Waterflow". The band plays a very diverse set of acoustic music with aspects of bluegrass, jazz, swing and country.
Waterflow consists of five renowned Slovak musicians who have all developed a distinctly personal style of playing in their many years of experience, and is completed by the low and warm vocals of the Dutch Loes van Schaijk. In Holland there is a saying "What comes from far, tastes good", which applies nicely to this band: sometimes you have to look across the borders of your own country to find the combination of bandmembers that will give the music exactly the right flavor.
Thusfar the band has played at many venues in Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and Slovakia, some of which were famous festivals like EWOB, Bluegrassfest and Dobrofest, to all of which the band were asked to return multiple times.
