Corazong Records of the Netherlands and On The Mark Entertainment of upstate New York are merging. They are moving their operations to Nashville, TN, in the first week of January, 2011.
Corazong Records founder Evert Wilbrink is the new C.E.O. of the ‘E-merging’ company. He moved from the Netherlands to Nashville in 2006; is a veteran of major labels; worked for Warner Brothers, CBS Records and BMG; found King Biscuit Flower Hour Records in 1993; started Corazong Records in 1999; and most recently managed Cadillac Sky.
On The Mark Entertainment intends to build up a strong video and audio catalog to cover its bottom-line. It has already amassed an interesting back-catalog and is scouting for more, wanting to buy little labels, vaults of recordings and small publishers. On The Mark Entertainment also has its eye on a substantial cutting-edge label and will eventually set out to sign a artists to management and development deals.
