De Amerikaanse singer-songwriter Shawn Colvin debuteerde in 1989 met zijn album "Steady on" dat in de US direct goud werd, mede dankzij de radiohit "Steady on". Zijn 2e album verscheen in 1992 "Fat City", gevolgd door "Cover Girl" in 1994 en het live-album "Live '88" in 1995.
