Pink Floyd On Forty-Five is the definitive discography of Pink Floyd 7inch singles. With the help of the world’s foremost Pink Floyd singles collectors, Charles Beterams has compiled a simply breathtaking book that sets the standard for the collection of Pink Floyd 7inch singles from all over the world. Apart from entries on exotic countries such as Angola, Costa Rica, Egypt, Jamaica, Kenia, Nigeria, The Philippines, and Turkey, Pink Floyd On Forty-Five also features extensive discographies of 7inch singles from Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, and the USA.
The backbone of the book are 7inch singles that ended up in public, either via the shops to buyers - stock copies - or via the record companies to radio stations and journalists - promotional copies. These are brought together in separate chapters per country, starting with Pink Floyd, followed by Syd Barrett, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright 7inch singles - if any -, all of them in chronological order, complete with release notes and details. Pink Floyd On Forty-Five concludes with a selection of test pressings and acetates. Pink Floyd’s history on 7inch is presented in all its full-colour glory, with well over 1,200 images to distinguish all known pressings. Charles Beterams previously co-wrote an acclaimed book on Pink Floyd’s concerts in The Netherlands and Belgium, Pink Floyd In De Polder, which was published by Aprilis in 2007.
Pink Floyd On Forty-Five has been published as an English language high quality 240 page bound hard back 9x9inch size book. The first 1.000 copies are published as a special numbered edition with an exclusive 7inch of Hello (I Love You) by Roger Waters. This single will only be available with the book.
Due to demand, a one-off number of 200 copies are now available in Holland via Suburban/Bertus.
