Donderdagavond 10 mei werd in Helsinki de halve finale van het 52-ste Eurovisie Songfestival gehouden. Van de 28 deelnemers konden er tien door naar de finale, op 12 mei, Nederland zit daar niet bij. Edsilia Rombley moest als 10e met 'On top of the world'. Ze trad op in een sexy oranje jurk met gouden glitters en de danseressen/achtergrondzangeressen droegen witte broekjes en zilveren topjes.
